Corks pop, glasses clink, and the city of Merano comes alive: autumn belongs to wine. From the Grape Festival to the Merano WineFestival, visitors experience taste, culture, and convivial moments in every sip.

Traditional Wine Harvest Festival in South Tyrol
The Last Cartload in Girlan is a unique autumn wine festival in South Tyrol celebrating the end of the grape harvest. Just like in the old days, a festively decorated wagon carries the final load of grapes through the picturesque wine village of Girlan in the Überetsch/Eppan area to the Tannerhof in the village centre. A harvest wreath with a yearly changing wine motto adorns the cart, marking the close of the harvest season.

As the days grow cooler and a sense of calm settles outside, a season of soothing warmth and relaxing rituals begins indoors. At the Wellviva SPA at Weinegg, special sauna experiences offer deep relaxation – thoughtfully created by our sauna masters Giada and Maurizio.

When South Tyrol is still asleep and the first sunrays illuminate the mountains, a very special experience begins: our guided sunrise hike in South Tyrol.

We are very pleased to introduce a special passion project of Bruno Moser: the newly acquired Poggio al Rigoloccio estate in the Alta Maremma, which he runs together with the experienced winemaker Gerhard Sanin.

Just a few minutes from Weinegg, Lake Monticolo and Lake Caldaro invite you to enjoy refreshing moments in their clear waters. Whether stand-up paddling, pedalling on a boat or rowing, summer truly comes to life here.

The Weinegg Wellviva Resort in Girlan near Eppan has been awarded the HolidayCheck Gold Award. This recognition is given only to hotels in South Tyrol and worldwide that achieve consistently outstanding guest reviews for at least five years.

EXCURSION TIP
Among vineyards, castles, and sweeping views unfolds a hike that shows South Tyrol at its most impressive. The starting point is Missian near Eppan, more precisely the parking area below Castle Korb. Even at the beginning, you are greeted with views of two of the three historic sites: Castle Korb and, slightly higher up, the picturesque ruins of Boymont.

Tradition and Passion in Winemaking
For over 40 years, the Moser family has lovingly managed our agricultural estates in Caldaro on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Three generations ago, our family began cultivating and caring for vineyards in the Überetsch region. Initially, the grapes were delivered to nearby wineries for processing.
